History:
The first and only child of a family that was praying for a boy, Tayuya entered the world on failed expectations. Her home-life was strict and regimented, the product of military parents. Wanting the best for their daughter, she was trained from in early age in things like self-defense and survival (not that she really used it for much else than taking milk money from the other kids)-- but also in philosophy, literature, and music. She was smart and enjoyed learning from other people and from school. Most of her peers hated her. She was a bitch from the start, even before things turned sour. Nobody liked a know-it-all, but as long as she did well; none of the authority figures around her really did anything to stop her. This continued on for a long time, and she excelled in school (with little to no friends) right up until she hit puberty.

Like any teenager, she rebelled. Rebelled against her parents, rebelled against the world... nothing could stop her. Not even her rapidly plummeting grades affected her mood. She fell in with the "bad crowd" and decided she liked it there. They liked her there too. For the first time, people accepted her for who she was, and she'd never experienced that before. Her parents, however, were not at all amused. They sent her away her to some place called "Sado Island", wherever the hell that was.
